Financial Empowerment Program

Our Financial Empowerment Program is designed to help refugees and immigrants acquire financial literacy, improve their access to the U.S. financial services and to promote entrepreneurship. It consists of the two series of workshops:

Women’s Empowerment (sponsored by the Women’s Endowment Fund) and
Making Financial Decisions in the U.S. (sponsored by the United Way of Summit County and Akron Community Foundation).

How does our program differ from others?

Our topics and materials are relevant for New Americans.
Our topics and materials are presented in simple, easy-to-understand English
Participants will be assisted with interpreters (Spanish, Burmese, Karen, Nepali) if needed.
Main materials are translated into 4 languages (Spanish, Burmese, Karen, Nepali).

When: at 10 am—12 pm

Registration Fee: Free!

Registration Deadline: Registration must be received by 4 pm EST on January 16, 2009 .
